Interfaces between systems in projects are a technical challenge with the risk of easily becoming a political challenge.
It requires an unbiased position and good teamwork between project managers, team managers and architects to prevent that constraints become obstacles in realizing the most cost efficient solution and shift the balance causing an incremental cost increase.

The Payment Card Industry (PCI) is a council representing credit card brands like American Express, Master Card and Visa.
The council issued Data Security Standards (DSS) for all organizations that process credit cards like merchants, payment service providers, banks and suppliers that develop or host systems with credit card information. The standards describe technical and operational requirements to prevent fraud with credit cards.

The sheet describes context, classification (priority, impact and proximity), roles, risk responses and off course risk management steps.
The risk responses are a combination of Prince 2 and MSP.

The launcher on your tablet or phone is the piece of software that displays the homescreen with apps and widgets, and allows you to starts up apps. In the market there are launchers that can replace the standard launcher on tablet or phone and add new functions like folders for apps, toolbars, extra home screens and visual effects. Recently I tried two launchers on the Motorola Xoom: Go Launcher EX and ADW Launcher EX.

Office workers usually have a calendar at work and a private calendar in the cloud they would like to combine. In the past the answer to combining calenders was synchronization (via e.g. USB). Not surprising most people first start looking for ways to synchronize the calendar at work with their calendar in the cloud. And then they find out that security policies of organizations prohibit this type of synchronization. Good news is there are other and even better options.
